I could update this every day and it still couldn't encompass the full story...
And so I leave it written in it's sweet stage of infancy. Per 2017
Since I was a little girl, I’ve always felt deeply & loved to move. Through many different avenues I explored how I could feel into my being. First playing baseball with the crack and rattle of the bat when it connects to the ball. Then Track & Field, when you run so hard that you throw up after a race. Dance, drill team and gymnastics where I can still feel the impact of pushing off the floor from a back-hand spring, the high of completing a routine or catching the deepest beat drop on the dance floor. Then, it was through Martial Arts that I found Meditation and the love of stillness. Those different practices fed me enough of what I loved to inspire a lifetime of exploration. When my 2nd child was a toddler I desperately needed to find quiet (aka inner peace.) So I started going to the YMCA because they had free daycare. That is where I attended my first Yoga class. I know now that it was a Vinyasa type class but at the time, I had to watch everyone in the room because I had no clue what was being asked of me. Again, the result was what I yearned for. Expression and release with a lingering sense of inner peace, love and acceptance. Approximately 8 years later, after mostly a home based practice; I decided to sign up for SMARTFLOW Yoga Teacher Training with Tiffany Russo. It was here that I came to learn and understand a much deeper meaning of the word “Yoga.”
Certified after 200 Hours of SmartFlow Training as of October 2015, I hopped into the studio and began teaching Karma (Free to the community) classes to gain experience and get the feel of teaching different bodies and abilities. I immediately knew that I was meant to teach and fell madly in love. Looking back growing up; I wanted to be a teacher and it finally made sense. Fall of 2016 I expanded my style of teaching and took an additional 50 hours of Yin Yoga training with Pamela Chang. There I fell even deeper in love. Through it all, I’ve remained connected to dance & movement. I’ve began to create my own style that incorporates all of these meaningful aspects from my life. Reflecting back I can see that all of these things had one thing in common… A deep connection to my Self.
This is where the Magic begins for me on a path I feel summoned to walk. As a forever student with an obsessive mind, craving introspection and growth, I am here to provide a light to those held in darkness. I am not here to tell others how to heal, but rather to share my experience and to support them as they reconnect with their own Self. To empower them in their own healing. Because I love to learn and heal AND explore different modalities that bring me to my place of serenity, I feel a need to share it with those who want relief from their own suffering as well. My journey has been spattered with trauma, suffering and victimization; followed by self-sabotage, destructive choices that I eventually learned to take responsibility. It is truly an honor and an exhilarating leap for me to offer my services to the world.
I am honored to hold space for others to explore and connect to Self.
