Bringing Sensuous Revival to the world has me brushing through all that I am with a fine tooth comb. This is exciting and humbling while at times is also challenging and transforming. As I sit here writing this blog entry... I'm reminded of one of my favorite teachers, Seane Corn and how she recently posted on Instagram that it's in her contract that she will not allow airbrushing on her photos. This is the fucking change we wish to see. I am so grateful to have other women in the world, intelligent and powerful women, that are willing to stand up for what they believe while trusting that they will be supported in the process. This blog post was inspired by my desire to have a photo retouched because of the zit on my forehead. And what is truly funny about this (to me anyway) is that I walk around every day with some sort of blemish on my face. My friends, clients and community see them every single day. So why is it that I expect my face to be flawless for my website?
Well my ego can jump right in here and tell you; "It's because I want people to like me. I want those that come to my website to care about my content and maybe they will see my blemish and click away." WHAT?! WTF- Who ever does that? Who sees a zit on someones forehead and doesn't invest in the reason why they showed up in the first place. I think it is becoming more and more known that the world is shifting away from what things look like to what they feel like. At least that is my hope. So now you can go scroll through my pages and try to figure out which picture it was lol! I am human and I only share what is the most valuable and powerful for my own journey. This is truly the best job I could ever wish for in this lifetime. Always Love, Deirdre J.
